ARCHAEOLOGY OF MEMORIES

During the art festival “Invisible Zurichs” of the socio-artistic group zUrbs I was invited to realize my installation “Archaeology of Memories” in Zurich. 

Through an art postbox, (made especially for collecting the memories) situated in Theater Gessnerallee and on internet plattforms I´ve been collecting memories of inhabitants and visitors of Zurich for 4-6 weeks.  

The stories I received I made fragments of – in order to make of them a spacial structure, which visitors can walk through. In this way the memories create not only an imaginary, but a real space, adding a new layer of experiencing the memories of unknown people.
